Scope & Content:
Covers the area around and to the north of Batang (巴搪). Père Nussbaum was a Catholic missionary active in western Tibet. Indicates the line of the China-Tibet frontier. Includes, on the same sheet, ‘Père Nussbaum’s route (Pa-mu-tang [邦木塘?] to Dong).’ Scale 1:1,267,200.

Scope & Content:
Discusses the verification of Tibetan place-names with reference to other contemporary authorities and provides additional narrative for this part of the journey. The typescript bears significant manuscript annotations and corrections, also 3 sketch maps.
The lists provide in tabular format: the stage of the journey; the name in Tibetan script; Pereira's romanisation; and corrections by F.M. Bailey. The places listed relate to the stages of the journey between Chamdo (昌都) and Lhasa (拉薩). The corrections, and the Tibetan script are manuscript.
