- Ballads and Sonnets by Dante Gabriel Rossetti; [1871?]-1881. Autograph drafts and fair copies of poems included in, and considered for, Ballads and Sonnets, 1881. Although the poems were composed at various dates between 1869 and 1881, it seems probable that, with the exception of 1407-1409 and 1420, the MSS. were written in 1880-1881 when Rossetti was preparing Ballads and Sonnets, 1881. A3840, 3847, 3848, 3849, 3852, 3857, 3859, 3860 and 3861 may well have once formed part of the same note...

- Letters (91) and a postcard from W. M. Rossetti to T. J. Wise; 8 Jan. 1886-27 March 1913. The greater part of the letters concerns the Shelley Society (1886-1892), of which Wise was Secretary from 1887 and Rossetti Chairman. One of the factors contributing to the downfall of the Society was Wise's extravagant policy of issuing facsimile reprints, and the letters reveal Rossetti's patience and generosity contrasted with Wise's incompetence and duplicity. Another subject which features largely...

- Letters (12) and one postcard from W. M. Rossetti to F. J. Furnivall; 22 April 1886-26 June 1892. The letters are almost entirely concerned with the affairs of the Shelley Society (1886-1892), of which Rossetti was Chair-man and Furnivall founder. There is in addition mention of Rossetti's unpublished compilation of Shelley biographical material 'Cor Cordium' (1449, ff. 3b, 4, 7-8b, 9b) and of an unfavourable review, which Rossetti believed to be by G. B. Shaw or Oscar Wilde, of his Life of ...
