Fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, reused as mummy cartonnage, mounted on cardboard in four glass frames, named Papyrus 488(1), Papyrus 488(2), Papyrus 488(3), Papyrus 488(4). The fragments bear writing on one side along the fibres. Portions of 18 columns survive, each column having an average of 22 lines. Each column measures 145 x 70 mm; the upper margin measures 30 mm, the lower 40 mm. A small fragment of lighter colour in Papyrus 488(3) belongs to another roll.
