Fragments of hexameters from mummy cartonnage; the poem is presumably a Thebaid. The right fragment, which corresponds to fragment 1 in the edition, is in direct speech, and a mother seems to be lamenting her son. The reference to a golden thrinax and to the dithyramb may suggest that he is Dion...

Two papyrus fragments of different size, with surface damage, from mummy cartonnage; writing runs along the fibres on the front. The left fragment preserves remains of 12 lines, the right fragment, which comes first, has remains of 16 lines. The papyrus is badly stained and rubbed. It is housed in a glass case.

Portion of a literary work, presumably a tragedy, of which a few iambic trimeters survive. Traces of effaced writing are visible on the back.

Extent:
Two non-contiguous fragments from a papyrus roll, extracted from mummy cartonnage; broken off on all sides and with plaster residue in places; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, the text runs along the fibres; the left-hand fragment preserves the central portions of 11 lines; on the right-hand fragment a few letters from the central portions of 9 lines survive. On the back, there are traces of writing across the fibres, entirely effaced. The fragments are housed in a glass frame.

Eight fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, extracted from mummy cartonnage, written on both sides. The roll was of small format, the height being up to 157 mm. On the front, the writing runs along the fibres and portions of 4 columns are preserved. Fragment 1 carries portions of 30 lines, lacking beginnings and ends; fragment 2 bears portions of 2 columns of 4 and 5 lines respectively; fragment 3 has the mid parts of 15 lines; fragment 4 carries the central parts of 5 lines; fragment 5 has 5 fragmentary lines; fragment 6 preserves parts of 6 lines; fragment 7 has parts of 5 lines; fragment 8, originally stuck onto fragment 4, has a few letters from 8 lines and may not belong to the other fragments. The column height was 157 mm. On the back, fragments 1, 4 and 6 bear writing across the fibres. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

On the front, fragment 1 bears the ends of 15 lines from the top of a column, with the upper margin; fragment 2 has the middle of 10 lines, and fragment 3 the beginnings of 12 lines from the foot of a column. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

One frame with one papyrus fragment bearing writing on one side; the back is blank. The front bears portions of two columns running along the fibres, originally wide (with up to 35 letters to the line). Of the first column 22 fragmentary lines remain; of the second, the beginnings of 8 lines; part of the upper margin and intercolumn survive. With remains of cartonnage decoration and plaster.

The back is blank. D bears portions of 8 lines written along the fibres; the back is blank. E preserves traces of 9 lines written along the fibres, mostly faint. The unlabelled fragment, presumably from another papyrus, has few traces from 5 lines written across the fibres and covered with plaster residue, and a few traces on the back.

Portions of a logical exercise, possibly based on Platonic logic, with a series of syllogisms having premises and conclusions; the first editor (E. G. Turner) considered it a school exercise written by a student working through a logical handbook.
