Extent:
One frame with one papyrus fragment bearing writing on one side; the back is blank. The front bears portions of one column written along the fibres, of which 26 fragmentary lines remain; with plaster residue in places.

One frame with four papyrus fragments, three of which are labelled C-E; broken off on all sides. C preserves 5 lines written along the fibres and is covered with cartonnage decoration. The back is blank. D bears portions of 8 lines written along the fibres; the back is blank. E preserves traces of 9 lines written along the fibres, mostly faint. The unlabelled fragment, presumably from another papyrus, has few traces from 5 lines written across the fibres and covered with plaster residue, and a few traces on the back.

Scope & Content:
Portions of a logical exercise, possibly based on Platonic logic, with a series of syllogisms having premises and conclusions; the first editor (E. G. Turner) considered it a school exercise written by a student working through a logical handbook.

Extent:
Two larger fragments with detached scraps from a papyrus roll, reused as mummy cartonnage; dark and stained; written on one side along the fibres. Portions of three narrow columns of varying length survive; the second is 55 mm wide, and has an average of 16 letters to the line. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Nine fragments of varying size reused as mummy cartonnage, written on one side across the fibres. The back bears no writing. The largest fragments, numbered 1-3, preserve portions of 22, 20, and 13 lines respectively. The smallest fragments bear a few letters from a few lines. The fragments are mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Two papyrus fragments that do not join, from the lower part of an opistograph roll, with writing on both sides, extracted from mummy cartonnage, with plaster residue in places and dark stains. The writing runs on both sides. On the front, fragment A bears portions of two columns written along the fibres, and fragment B portions of three columns. On the back, there are additional lines written across the fibres, the other way up in relation to the text on the front. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Three fragments of varying size from a dark-brown papyrus roll, reused as mummy cartonnage, bearing writing on both sides. On the front, the largest fragment bears parts of 12 lines from the top of a column. The other two fragments preserve a few letters from 6 and 2 lines respectively. On the back, there are a few traces of writing running across the fibres and plaster residue. The papyrus housed in a glass frame.

II 7(a), housed at the Bodleian Library, Oxford, P.Ryl. 39, housed at the John Rylands Library, Manchester, and some fragments now held at the Institut für Papyrologie in Heidelberg (P. G 401 a-k). The writing runs along the fibres on one side. On the front, fragment 1 bears the ends of 4 lines from one column and the beginnings of 7 lines of a second column; fragment 2 bears the beginnings of 4 lines and traces of another line at the bottom; the upper margin survives.
