Two papyrus sheets, regularly cut, written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank; mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.

Upper papyrus (A): Damaged by insect holes in the lower half, and slightly abraded in few places; 11 lines; margins survive, with the lower being mutilated; the left bears traces of ink. A sheet-join runs from top to bottom at c. 30 mm from the left edge.

Lower papyrus (B): Lacking the lower right-hand corner and with few insect holes in places; 12 lines, complete; margins are extant. A sheet-join runs from top to bottom at c. 25 mm from the left edge.

Order to Supply Seed Corn (P.Lond. III 1215, TM 22841)
Scope & Content:
Order from Diodotus to Metocus, directorof the granary (sitologus), instructing him to supply thirty-five artabas of wheat as seed to Dius, son of Apollonius, to be repaid with interest after the following harvest. The receipt of Dius follows.

Papyrus sheet, complete, with insect holes throughout and some abrasion in places; written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. There are 17 complete lines, with a blank space of 40 mm between lines 10 and 11. The right margin is irregular, the upper and lower margins are wide and measure 30 and 60-65 mm respectively. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Application addressed to Marcus Antonius Pallas from Menodorus alias Ammonius, Eudaemon, Hermaeus, and his brother Metocus, Dius and Didymus, of Hermopolis, who wish to lease some land for a period of two years. Details on the payment of the rent are provided. The dating clause is at the end.
