The diary, which includes particulars of Viney's relations with the Moravians and with John Wesley, has been partly printed (to 24 June, with a facsimile of f. 63) in the Proceedings of the Wesley Historical Society, xiii, 1921, p. 78-xv, 1926, p. 195 passim. Paper; ff. i + 120. Octavo. A.D. 1744. Formerly owned by the Rev. William Mallalieu, of Ockbrook, co. Derby (for whom see D.F.E. Sykes, The Huguenot Ancestry of the Mallalieus of Saddleworth, 1920, App., pp. 51-54), whose name appears on f. i. Presented by the Rev. J.N. Libbey, of the Moravian Church, Fetter Lane.
