The exact connection with the Stanhope family is not known, but there are many items in the album by, or relating to, Lady Anna Chandos Pole (b 1837, d 1913), daughter of Leicester Stanhope, 5th Earl of Harrington and Elizabeth, Countess of Harrington, along with items by Lady Geraldine Stanhope (d 1914), the Earl and Countess's other daughter, and pictures of Elvaston Castle, the family seat.
