Quarter leather and brown buckram stab-sewn volume (British Museum binding, 1971), measuring 233 x 170 mm, containing 24 albumen print portraits accompanied by letterpress biographical notices. No titlepage and handwritten index of sitters. This volume forms a continuation of volume 5 in the series. As with volume 5, and unlike the earlier volumes, the part wrappers of the individual issues have not been bound in. If this series continued publication according to the earlier sequence, the eight parts in this volume would presumably have appeared at monthly intervals between November 1866 and June 1867. Bound with volume 5. British Library holdings comprise volumes 1-6, bound in three volumes.
