The "archive" belonging to a dormant Buchen household/lineage in the Pin Valley of Himachal Pradesh, headed by Kinzum Gatuk and her husband Padma Dorje. Kinzum is descended from a line of Meme Buchen. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of the house and include religious, ritual and performance-related items. Buchen are actors, storytellers, exorcists and occasional healers. They are lay religious practitioners whose role is to spread the Dharma (teachings of the Buddha) often through entertainment. The material is owned by Kinzum Gatuk and her husband Padma Dorje and has been handed down from father to son and to daughter through several generations of head Buchen. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of the house. This was not properly seen: materials were brought out in order to be documented
