It does not contain the translation of the entire book, only up to Cant. 4:12.

Support: Paper with laid lines and chain lines; watermark is partially visible: a crescent, perhaps part of a tre-lune watermark.
Extent: 13 folios (bound with another MS: i+51+13+iii)

Foliation in Arabic numerals in ink (foliated by M. Gaster).

Collation

Bound with Or 9920 in the British Museum. The different dates of accession show that Or 9920 and Or 9921 had been separate volumes when the BM acquired them.

Collation is indeterminable (binding too tight).

Catchword on almost every verso.

Condition

Usage stains, smudged ink.

Small holes due to worm damage.

Vertical line in ink is added at the outer and inner borders of the text body.

Date of acquisition added by M. Gaster on fol. 13v: "2 I. 99".

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 276: inscribed with his name on fols. 1r, 13v; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924: inscribed on back flyleaf [ii]v; date of accession 22 February 1928: inscribed on fol. 13v.
