Perhaps originally the innermost and the outermost leaves of the quires were parchment leaves.

Ownership inscription (?) on f. 166v: 'שלנו פפנו ופפנו באתן ... יחונן בן'

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 207: inscribed with his name on f. 166r; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924;
