This pāda has the special name Smṛiticaraṇavārttika (the titles Tarkapādabhāṣya, Arthavādacaraṇabhāṣya, Nāmacaraṇabhāṣya in Aufrecht's Cat. Cat. have a simmilar meaning; they are names of the Bhāṣya on the first, second and fourth pāda of the first adhyāya of the Mīmāṃsāsūtra resp.) and is divided in the commentaries into two parts, pūrvārdha and uttarādha, the latter of which comprises sūtras 24-35.
