Imprint: [Kyōto] , Kitamura Shirōbē, Jōkyō 4, 1687. Kanki on fol. 15b of maki 下, following batsu in kanbun, reads: 貞享四丁卯歳仲夏上浣 / 北村四郎兵衛板行.
Description: 3 kan, 3 satsu, in a box. (Maki 上) ff. 32; (中) ff. 11; (下) ff. 15. 22.3 x 15.5 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 18.3 x 14.2 cm. (average). Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text without furigana. 11 lines to page, c. 25 characters to line.
Grey-green covers, mid- to late-Edo period, with damaged title slips of similar date on left. Printed gedai: 金槐和歌集 壹 (貳, 三). Title from naidai and gedai. Sub-title following naidai at head of each maki: Kamakura udaijin Sanetomo no kashū 鎌倉右大臣實朝之家集. Hashiragaki: U jō (chū, ge) 右 上 (中, 下) + folio no.
Edition: The first and only dated edition.
Contents: Personal collection of waka poems composed by Minamoto no Sanetomo, consisting of 716 poems, compiled before 1213.

Condition: Fair to good. Brown stains in maki 上 and worm damage in maki 下.
Impression: Atozuri from heavily worn blocks. Judging by the okuzuke on inner back cover listing 11 publishers in Kyōto, Edo and Ōsaka, ending with 河内屋茂兵衞, this copy was printed in 18th or early 19th century from the original blocks of Jōkyō 4 (1687).
Seals of ownership: One oval red seal, the upper part almost obliterated by black ink, on first page of each maki.
