- The collection was assembled by a known collector and given to Launceston Mechanics Institute, Tasmania, as the "Hillsdon Collection 1932". The collection was then held in the Launceston Public Library, before being absorbed in to the State Library of Tasmania in the 1970s. From October 2006, the State Library, the Archives Office, Adult Education and online access centres were integrated as the Community Knowledge Network. This was renamed LINC Tasmania in 2009, and renamed again as Libraries Tasmania in mid-2018.
