Description: 2 kan, 1 satsu, in a chitsu case. (Maki 上) ff. 10; (maki 下) ff. 12. 27.1 x 18.7 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 22 x 17.1 cm. (average). Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text without furigana. 14 lines to page, 22-24 characters to line.
Mid-blue covers, possibly original. Title slip missing. No gedai. Title from naidai at head of maki 上 and 下. Hashiragaki: Sakura jō (ge) さくら上 (下) +folio no.
Edition: First of two editions published in the same year, Kanbun 10 (1670). The other was published with minor amendments by Shōkai 松會 of Edo.
Contents: A tale dating from the Muromachi period, sometimes classed as otogi-zōshi though not included in the original set of 23 stories.
