Description: 6 kan, formerly in 6 satsu, rebound in 1 vol. western style. (Maki 1) ff. [1] , 34; (2) ff. [1] , 24; (3) ff. [2] , 30; (4) ff. [1] , 39; (5) ff. [1] , 33; (6) ff. [1] , 32. Maki 5 and 6 have been wrongly transposed in rebinding. 25.2 x 17.7 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 22 x 16.3 cm. (average). Single-line borders. No borderline or fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 10 lines to page, c. 20 characters to line.
Renewed (early 19th century) front cover of satsu 1 only, with manuscript gedai: 神皇正統記 壹. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: 神皇正統記 + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The earliest recorded edition, followed only by one further edition in Keiō 2, 1866.
Contents: History of Japan from the founding of the country by the gods to mid-14th century, emphasising the legitimate descent of the imperial rulers. Written between 1339 and 1343.

Impression: Atozuri, from slightly worn blocks.
Seals of ownership: Two small oval red seals, 小忠 and 秋彦, on first page of each maki, though it is unlikely that these denote ownership.
