The manuscripts used to belong to the local monastery - Bultumur Datsan until 1930s when they were concealed by the family of Gomgorzhap Tsyrempilov's grandfather.

The manuscripts belong to a private library of lama Rinchin Buyantuev. He inherited it from his grandfather Gombo Shoinzhonov who was a lama of Chesan monastery until the 1930s. Later he lived with his family in Kizhinga village.
