Route Survey of part of the Chu-Ma-Ho [拒馬河] and Tributaries made by E.C. Young Esquire from 3rd Oct. to 18th Oct 1904
Scope & Content:
Covers an area to the west and south-west of Peking (北京). Shows hydrology, settlements and the line of the route. Place-names are given in non-standard romanisation.
The sheets show hydrology, relief, communications, and numbered settlements. Place-names in Wade-Giles romanisation have been selectively added in pencil.
The lists provide a key, in non-standard romanisation, to the numbered settlements on the maps. Characters have been added to most of the names, and correct Wade-Giles romanisation has been added to some of these.
