Dīwān al-Wasāʾil al-Mutaqabbilah ديوان الوسائل المتقبلة
Scope & Content:
The first page of the dīwān of al-Fāzzāzī (d.1230), containing praise poems for the Prophet, probably to be sung on the celebration of his birthday. The verso is a charm to avoid hellfire.
Seems to be a story about travelling in a foreign country, an account of an attack or perhaps a talisman to prevent this. Mention of King Umaru Ibn Adama. Badly damaged.
A list of tyrants and evil figures from the Abrahamic writings (Goliath, Gog and Magog etc). Verso: list of magical names or words, followed by strings of repeated letters.
