This early version is simply titled 'Novel Three', and some alternative titles are noted. Written in pencil and black ink, with extensive annotations in pencil and red ink. Work chart pasted in the inside cover and two typewitten draft pages are sellotaped in. Notebook started 8 Jun 1965.
