The sum is part of the jagir income and is to be repaid to Clive in England. Three copies of the certificate were made, on payment of one the others would be come void. Three certificates, all signed.
It seems likely that this document was produced as part of Clive's defence in 1772 since a note at the end of the document states "This is the best acc[oun]t that can be had being refused all access to the Company's Records".
