The evidence concerns the established methods of the inland trade. Cojamaul's evidence also includes an account of his imprisonment on Mr Verelst's orders.
Most of the text is devoted to listing the documents produced before the Committee. Evidence was heard from Padre Rafael concerning his imprisonment at Firzabad in March 1768.
Concerning the deposition of Mir Jafar and installation of Mir Kasim. Carnac had left India with Clive, but at St Helena received orders to return, doing so just after the start of the upheaval.
