A resolution was agreed that the warrant for Sir Robert Fletcher's court martial should issue from the Board not from Clive, lest Clive should be accused of prejudice against Fletcher.

The author outlines the current problems facing the government, including the potential of war with Tipu Sultan. The text contains a few amendments in the same hand as the original text.
Official records and copies thereof, including extracts from consultations, legal opinions, evidence statements and military intelligence. Other documents include a defence of Clive and records of investments in diamonds.
The consultations seem to have been undertaken at need, on an irregular basis. The extracts list the documents received or action taken which has prompted the consultation, and in some cases summarise either the content of relevant letters and opinions received or the opinion of the consultation....
