The letters relate to the fire at Bankypore cantonment and the officers' mutiny. Both letters were enclosed in a letter from Fletcher to Clive on 25 April, which must be one of the two above, however there is no indication of which.
Copies of letters sent by Clive's attorneys on his behalf dated between 29 March and 28 April 1766.

The copies were probably made to be sent to Clive. They relate to various subjects, including the admittance of a candidate to the Clun Hospital and the Shrewsbury election.
