Nine houses in Billiter Lane, seven purchased by the East India Company in 1749 from Thomas Norcliffe for £680, and two in 1764 from Thomas Richardson and Mary Howard, the executors of Thomas Norcliffe, for £463 9s 6d. The houses were demolished soon after they were acquired by the Company.
