With the letter is an envelope addressed to G.W. Forrest Esq. c I.E. in a later hand with notes on the reverse about the necessity of keeping the documents together. The draft has been written on the reverse of a printed pro forma for orders issued in Clive's name.
Bond entered into by Edward Clive, 1st Earl of Powis, for £5838 to be paid to George Clive, John Walsh, Henry Strachey and Christopher D'Oyly, the contract to be void if £2919 is repaid by 14 April 1776.

The indemnity on tea was previously agreed with Parliament. The Company claims that it is no longer economic to trade with China and include statistics to show this.
