The question posed is of which persons are liable to pay the duty levied upon managing the Inland Trade in 1766-7 since the members of the committee changed during that time.
Case and Opinion. The case is that of Mr Sumner and relates to the duties payable upon the Inland Trade, whether the Company is due further recompense and how this should be redeemed. The opinion was given by John Madocks on 13 January 1773.
