- From Erode: I think we arrived in Mercara on April 25th. In Mercara itself I did not record music, but we saw a marriage ceremony. I did work in two places, Napoklu in N. Coorg and Ponampet in S. Coorg. The bridegroom; under the wreaths of flowers he wears golden chains. Around his waist is a brocade belt and the chains holding the Coorgi knife. On 125 (and 132, P.
