MODERN IMPRESSIONS AND CAST (29) collected by Maj. Alfred Charles Heales, the ecclesiologist and genealogist, (d. circ. 1896). Presented by Mrs. P. D. Cunnell, as executor of Mrs. V. B. Heales, widow of the collector's son, Maj. A. G. Heales. As follows:
CASTS made from electrotypes, etc., in a collection acquired by the Derbyshire County Museums in 1955 from J. E. Foskett, The Donkey Inn, Charles Hill, Tilford, Surrey. The casts were made in the British Museum.

IMPRESSIONS IN DENTAL WAX from the matrices of seals of companies which formed the Southern Railway. The impressions were made about 1947, when there were 105 such matrices at Waterloo Station, together with a cast of one other which was believed to have been lost by enemy action between 1939 and 1945. The present collection represents 71 of these. Presented by Charles Edward Clifton Townsend, Esq., M.I.C.E., of the Port of London Authority.

IMPRESSIONS of two medieval seals in white wax, at least one ecclesiastical, formerly attached to a charter and both still attached to a tag. Purchased with Add.Chs. 75587-75630, Sotheby's, 12 Dec. 1966, lot 170, but not identified as belonging to any of these charters.
