These files also belonged to the Reforms Branch of the Public and Judicial Department, dealing mainly with the separation of Burma from India. This series consists of duplicate copies of the correspondence (letters and telegrams) which appear in the M/1 series.
These Annual Files cover all aspects of Burma's internal administration and external relations, e.g. Sino-Burmese Boundary Commissions, trade. During the war years, they also include files on Anglo-American policy towards South-East Asia and the Far East and relations in the same areas.
