The correspondence concerns for the most part the contributions of Croker to the Quarterly Review (of which he was a founder in 1809) and his other literary productions. From the papers of the Right Hon. John Wilson Croker, Secretary to the Admiralty 1809-1830 and man of letters, were acquired at the sale of Messrs. J. Pearson and Co., Sotheby's, 23-26 June 1924.
