Selection of letters made by Ashley Dukes, dramatist, theatre manager, and friend of Shaw, from the collection of originals in the possession of Gabriel Wells, dealer in rare books and manuscripts. The selection was intended for publication, but the project had lapsed by 1929, when Shaw made it clear that he would not allow his letters to be published in his lifetime. Typewritten copies.
