Possibly a first attempt at 'Ghosts', under another title, the themes and ideas in both mansuscripts are similar. However none of the text in this draft was used in 'Ghosts', it is a completely new draft.
Ghosts is a novel which captures the experience of ageing as the heroine moves through the four seasons of a year. Published by Hamish Hamilton in 1988.
