Draft minutes and reports of General and Committee Meetings of the Trustees, 17 Dec. 1753-6 Aug. 1756, taken by Birch. Among the subjects are the purchase for £20,000 of Sir Hans Sloane's collection from his executors, the housing of that, and the Harley, Cotton and other libraries, the acquisition and refitting of Montagu House, and the general business of the Museum. At the end are a few memoranda by Birch on the above subjects.
