WERTENBAKER PAPERS. Vols. XXVIII-XXXII. ‘Case to Answer’ and ‘Happy Ending’. Typewritten and photocopied drafts with autogr. notes and revisions; 1977-1980, n.d. Some of the notes are by Liane Aukin. The play was given the consecutive titles listed below. The work was first performed as ‘Case To Answer’ at the Soho Poly on 19 May 1980, directed by Liane Aukin. ‘Happy Ending’ was performed in America on 20 June 1980 and was Wertenbaker’s first American production. Five volumes.
