- Thatres, daughter of Sarapion, of the village of Karanis, writes to Claudius Iulianus, royal scribe of the division of Herakleides, in the Arsinoite nome, to report the death of a certain Mersios. An order addressed to the village scribe follows.

- Extent:
- Papyrus sheet with one small detached fragment; incomplete, lacking most of its right half, slightly damaged also along the left edge. The text runs along the fibres on one side, with the back blank; there is one column of 26 lines, most of which lack the ending. Upper (20 mm), lower (40 mm) and left margins are extant; the right margin is only partly preserved, but it was minimal. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.
