Calotype negative copied from a daguerreotype. This is similar to the Claudet daguerreotype at Talbot Photo 4(4), and clearly taken at the same sitting, but in the daguerreotype Matilda looks to the right, while in this negative she looks directly towards the camera.. Trimmed negative.
