The money was recovered from the Nawab of the Carnatic, in payment of his debt to Mr John Mills, coachmaker, of London. The money is to be remitted to John Mills at the first opportunity. Two copies
The papers include personal and official correspondence, Clive's defence and official administrative papers. Although not apparently listed chronologically, the correspondence details how many letters were received from any given correspondent in a particular year.
Draft Bond to be made between Edward Clive, 1st Earl of Powis and Margaret, Lady Clive.

The Bond concerns the payment of an annuity of £400 and a lump sum of £10,000 to be paid upon her death to her children as she shall appoint, in return for her surrender of certain jewels bequeathed to her by her husband.
