Nyatapola Temple, consecrated in 1702, was built by King Bhupatindra Malla. The five roofs temple is raised on a corresponding number of terraces that dominate the Bhaktapur skyline.
The four chief emanatory forms of Vishnu combined in a single image, with consort Laksmi, known as Caturanana or Vaikuntha. This gilt copper figure was produced from 1722-1734 and located in Hanuman Dhoka.
