The lions guarding the Shiva-Parvati Temple in Kathmandu Durbar Square. The temple takes its name from the manikins of Shiva and Parvati who lean from an upper window, like a king and queen, observing the constant activity in the square in Kathmandu.
The Pashupatinath Temple Complex, dedicated to Pashupatinath, is considered as one of the most sacred temples of Hindu faith. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley.
