Scope & Content:
In the assault 3 Europeans and 5 Indian sepoys were killed, but among the 25 wounded perhaps other soldiers died of their wounds. For a short while a company of the 89th remained as a garrison, after which Riari became a sanatorium for British troops. This may account for the additional graves.
