Genre: Landscape Photography The fort, of which there is hardly one stone upon another, was on the slight rise in mid-picture. ‘Oriental Memoirs’, James Forbes, has a sketch of it as left by the siege of 1783. The District Bungalow now stands there.

Genre: Landscape Photography View form the District Bungalow, a fragrant memory of which was the scent of the Champa trees (frangipani) in the forecourt. It was a good starting point for the Gairsoppa Falls. 17 miles up the Shiravati river by snake boat, and thence by bullock cart up the ghauts.
