Monthly Return of lascars, artificers, bildars and cooleys belonging to the 2nd Company of Artillery attached to the 2nd Brigade commanded by Colonel Smith.
Scope & Content:
Signed by Nathaniel Kindersley, captain of Artillery, 2nd Brigade and dated at Camp at Suragepore.
Note upon the defence offered by Sir Robert Fletcher.
Scope & Content:
This is probably a draft, probably of a larger whole, since corrections have been made to it and a note made to insert the text of the sentence passed upon Fletcher.
Copies of letters relating to Colonel Forde's campaign and negotiations for its aftermath.
Scope & Content:
These comprise one letter to John Andrews Esq., and two with a possible third to Warren Hastings The letter to Andrews and the putative letter to Hastings are certainly in the hand of a copyist, the remaining two are probably in Clive's hand.
Copies of letters to Sir Robert Barker and Mr Gregory.
Scope & Content:
Neither letter's salutation states to whom the letter was written, information which has been added on the rear of the document in an 18th century hand, probably identical with the copyist's. The recipient's name is spelt 'Barkyr'.
