Evidence was given by Mr Thomas Goddard, formerly Captain in the 1st Brigade, alleging that Sir Robert Fletcher had encouraged the mutiny over officers' batta. Scope & Content:
The handwriting of the copy initially bears a strong resemblance to Clive's. This changes at the end of the 6th folio and becomes more typical of a professional copyist. In places the text has been marked in pencil.

A resolution was agreed that the warrant for Sir Robert Fletcher's court martial should issue from the Board not from Clive, lest Clive should be accused of prejudice against Fletcher.
