Interviewed by S D Pradhan in 1971. Nagina Singh was in the Indian Army from 1909 to 1934, and was in the 3rd Patiala Infantry. He served in the Middle East during the First World War. He also served in the Afghan War in 1919.

Interviewed by S D Pradhan in 1971. Sarman Singh was in the Indian Army from 1914 to 1952, and was stationed in Patiala during the First World War. He served with the 1st Rajindra Sikhs (Infantry), and then joined the Army Training School Patiala as a drummer.

Interviewed by S D Pradhan in 1971. Bachan Singh was in the Indian Army from 1915 to 1935, and was in the 9th Bhopal Infantry, and later the Army Signal Corps. He served in Mesopotamia during the First World War. He served in the North West Frontier during the Afghan War in 1919.
