List of papers prepared for Clive to take to the House of Commons.
Scope & Content:
The list includes letters, extracts from letters, orders and resolutions made by the General Court and Select Committee, covering a period between 27 April 1764 and 12 January 1772.
The pages are divided into columns; in addition to giving information about the letters, including which ship the letter came by, one column also notes whom the letter-writers had recommended or introduced to Clive. The letters cover a period 24 April 1764-21 October 1766
A list of letters sent to Clive via the ship Admiral Pocock on 25 March 1768, with a list of the contents of a package of documents sent by the same ship.
Scope & Content:
The letters were all written between 31 March 1767 and 25 March 1768.
These include consultations, letter books, including those of County Correspondence, reference papersan copies of Opinion. It is possible that this document formed a receipt for the documents concerned, as a note at the foot of the second folio lists papers not returned by Mr G. Rous. Two copies.
Each page has been divided into columns giving details of the sender, recipient, date and place of writing. Most of the letters are to Clive, but other recipients include Roger Drake and Captain Carnac The list covers a period between 3 July 1757 and 5 December 1759. Some duplicate folios.
