Nyatapola Temple, consecrated in 1702, was built by King Bhupatindra Malla. The five roofs temple is raised on a corresponding number of terraces that dominate the Bhaktapur skyline.
The lions guarding the Shiva-Parvati Temple in Kathmandu Durbar Square. The temple takes its name from the manikins of Shiva and Parvati who lean from an upper window, like a king and queen, observing the constant activity in the square in Kathmandu.
