Letter 5 Lord Rochford at St James’s to Mr Purling asking for the Company to discharge a man sailing to Madras called James Maxwell as he is a first lieutenant of the Dutch service, who enlisted following a bout of despair.
Letters 9-10 Scott, Pringle, Cheap and Co in Madeira to Peter Michell providing bills of lading for 40 pipes of wine loaded on board the Greenwich for Fort William. Also includes an account of marks, numbers and contents.
Letters 15-29 Chambers, Hiccox, Smart and Macky in Madeira to the Court enclosing bills of lading, accounts and invoices for wine loaded on board the Royal Henry, Lioness, Greenwich and Triton heading for Bengal, Madras and Canton.
Letter 30 Edward Stanley at Customs House to Peter Michell informing him that the warehouse keeper, Mr Corbett, has to attend the trial of two revenue officers who seized Chinese raw silk from the silk mills of Mr Bennet. Mr Stanley feels that Mr Corbett's testimony would corroborate the two officers’ justification of the seizure.
Letter 31 John Boddington at the Ordnance Office to Peter Michell requesting that he asks the Court to pay £54 18s 7d to the Treasurer for a barrel of powder at Purfleet.
Letter 32 Scott, Pringle, Cheap and Co in Madeira to Peter Michell stating that they enclose vouchers for 40 pipes of wine loaded onto the Company’s ships on 15 Feb 1772.
Letter 33 John Boddington at the Ordnance Office to Peter Michell asking that the Court pay £8 13s 6d to the Treasurer for damages incurred at Woolwich by the bursting of some of the Company’s guns.
Letter 34 James Amyatt in Berkley Square to the Court asking if he could withdraw his earlier letter relating to Peter Amyatt's claims of money advanced to Ram Narrain and Raja Bullub. Also asks for assistance in recovering a bond worth 16,730 Sicca Rupees from Ram Narrain.
Letter 35 Lord Sandwich at the Admiralty Office to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman informing them that the House of Commons has been moved to commit to the timber bill by the following Thursday.
