Land, buildings, and machinery at Porto Novo belonging to Indian Iron and Steel Company were mortgaged to the East India Company in 1833. The property subsequently passed to the East Indian Iron Company which paid £10,000 to East India Company for discharge of all claims.
Salem, Malabar, Kanara, Coimbatore and Arcot Lease of iron ore in Salem, Malabar, Kanara, Coimbatore and Southern Arcot, and of chrome in Salem and Coimbatore held by East Indian Iron Company from the Secretary of State for India.
In 1874, the Secretary of State for India paid £4,000 to the liquidators of the East Indian Iron Company for lands and barracks in the town of Calicut, Malabar.
